Technical Consultancy for Energy From Waste Park

Stopford acted as technical consultants for a national project development company to support the design of a 200,000 tpa energy from waste park in Scotland. The facility was to use a refuse derived fuel supplied by a local waste management company as the feedstock for a 80,000 tpa gasificaton plant and a 25,000 tpa anaerobic digestion facility. As well as developing a site master plan accounting for planning consents, site constraints, technology appraisals, process flow and project phasing for the scheme, a significant part of the commission focussed on the simulation and modelling of an RDF that would meet the fuel specification of the gasifier manufacturer.
