EPCM for a 40 MWe Plasma Gasification Energy from Waste Scheme

EPCM for a 40 MWe Plasma Gasification Energy from Waste Scheme

Stopford was commissioned as the EPCM contractor for a 40 MWe plasma gasification waste to energy plant in central Asia. The scheme involved the design of an RDF plant to process 1,400 tpd of municipal waste into refuse derived fuel (RDF), the development of the heat and mass balance for the process, design of the gasifier utilising computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling, conducting the technical and financial due diligence on system components and development of plant specification sheets for issue to equipment suppliers.
